How to customize your promoter slug
Personalize your affiliate URL (e.g. /events/<event>?ref=maria-silva) — the slug is the coupon code applied automatically.
Your promoter slug is the centerpiece of your work on the platform: it shows up in your affiliate link's URL (/events/<event>?ref=YOUR_SLUG) and becomes the coupon code applied automatically at the buyer's checkout. A short, memorable, recognizable slug makes promoting easier — which is why Baila lets you edit yours at any time.
The slug is generated automatically from your name the first time you become a promoter, but you can adjust it from the panel.
Step by step to edit your slug
Sign in to the promoter app at promoter.vaidebaila.app and open the Links tab (the My Links page).
Click Edit slug. Type the new slug using only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens — accents, spaces, and special characters are stripped as you type.
Wait for the availability check. The system checks on every keystroke whether the slug is already taken; once the green Available indicator shows up, you can save.
Click Save slug. The Are you sure? confirmation appears — click Yes, change it to confirm. The new slug applies from your next events onward.
Changing your slug does not change coupons or sales on past events. Coupons created before the change keep their original code — sales made through the old link stay attributed to you. The change only applies to new invites from the moment you saved the new slug.
Slug best practices
- Use your stage name or the handle you already use on social — your audience finds you more easily.
- Prefer short slugs (up to 20 characters) — they fit better in posts, stories, and bios.
- Avoid random numbers or suffixes — they make a profile look temporary.
- If the slug you want is taken, try a clear variation (for example
maria-silva-sp) instead of numbering it.
