How to set up your profile: CPF, CNPJ, and personal info
Add your CPF or CNPJ and contact details in the dashboard to unlock publishing paid events.
Before you publish paid events, Baila needs your CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID, for individuals) or CNPJ (Brazilian company tax ID, for businesses). That information is used to tie your receivables to your bank account at the Asaas gateway and to meet the requirements of the Brazilian federal tax authority and of the LGPD (Brazil's data-protection law).
Why CPF/CNPJ is mandatory
The organizer's CPF/CNPJ is required for three reasons: (1) linking receivables to the BYOG (Bring Your Own Gateway) Asaas account, (2) letting the gateway issue tax documents, and (3) LGPD compliance (Art. 7) for accountability over how buyer data is processed.
To publish events with paid tickets you have to complete the profile (with a CPF or a CNPJ) and also connect your Asaas gateway. Until the gateway is validated, only free events can be published.
Step by step
Open the dashboard at dashboard.vaidebaila.app and click Profile in the side menu.
In the Tax document type field, pick CPF (Individual) or CNPJ (Business).
Type the number. The system validates it in real time using the official check-digit algorithm (mod-11). If the number is invalid, the message shows up right below the field.
Fill in your Full name, Phone, and Organization name as well. Those are the other required profile fields.
Click Save profile. The system confirms with a green banner and unlocks the next onboarding step (connecting the Asaas gateway).
Changing the CPF/CNPJ later
You can change the CPF/CNPJ at any time through the same path, in Profile. But if you already have confirmed sales, talk to support before changing it: swapping the document after sales exist can throw off reconciliation with the gateway.
