What happens to my ticket once the transfer is accepted
After acceptance the old QR code is invalidated and a new one is issued to the new owner — here's what changes for you.
When the person you transferred the ticket to accepts it, a few things change immediately — for them and for you. Understanding each change avoids surprises on the day of the event.
An accepted transfer is not reversible by Baila. The ticket leaves your account and moves to the account of the person who accepted it, with a new QR code. If it was a mistake, the only way out is a new transfer started by the person who received it.
What changes
- Your old QR code is invalidated. If anyone tries to use it at check-in, event control shows "Ticket transferred — old QR invalid". Only the new QR code held by the person who accepted works.
- A new QR code is issued in their name. The CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID) recorded on the ticket becomes theirs. They use the new QR code on the day of the event.
- The ticket becomes a transfer record. Under My tickets, in the Transferred filter, it now shows as Transferred, with who you sent it to and the date. You can no longer use that ticket, but the record stays there for reference.
- Check-in data is tied to the new owner. When that person checks in at the event, the data recorded is theirs, not yours.
And for the person who received it?
Whoever accepted now sees the ticket under My tickets with their own QR code. They can use it, transfer it again (to somebody else), or — depending on the event policy — even ask the organizer for a refund.
