How to edit a published event

Adjust an event's details after publishing — and learn which fields can and cannot be changed.

You can edit plenty of an event's fields even after it is published — but not all of them. What you can change depends on the event's status (Draft, Published, Paused, Ended, or Cancelled), not on whether tickets have already been sold.

On the event page, Baila shows a summary right at the top: "Fields editable in this status: ...". Just glance at it to know what you can touch right now.

What you can edit while the event is published

With the event Published or Paused, you can change:

The address and the venue cannot change after publishing. They can only be edited while the event is in Draft. If you need to fix the address of an already published event, the way around it is to duplicate the event (the copy goes back to Draft) and adjust it there.

And once the event ends?

With the event Ended, only the description and the cover image remain — handy for posting a recap after the party. Cancelled events are locked entirely.

Editing, step by step

In the dashboard, go to Events and open the event you want.

Scroll to the section for the field you want to change (Title, Description, Event dates, and so on). Each field has its own editing area. Fields you cannot touch in the current status simply do not appear.

Change what you need in that section.

Click that section's own Save button — for example, Save description, Save title, or Save dates. Each section saves on its own.

Tip: announce your changes

Even on editable fields, big changes (a completely new description, a line-up swap) deserve a heads-up to buyers. Baila does not send an automatic email when something changes, so that announcement is on you.
