How to create ticket tiers

Set up tiers with a name, price, quantity, and sales window for every audience at your event.

A ticket tier — labelled lot in the dashboard — is a band of tickets with its own price, quantity, and sales window. Every event on Baila has at least one tier. You can create as many as you like: early-bird tier, second tier, VIP floor, box, and so on.

Required fields on every tier

Tier name — this is what the buyer sees. Use clear names like "Early bird — floor" or "VIP box".

Price — in Brazilian reais. Use 0 for a free ticket (mixed events are allowed: part paid, part free).

Quantity — the total number of tickets available in this tier. The system decrements it automatically on every confirmed sale and releases the seat back on a refund.

Sales start date and time — the tier only becomes buyable from this moment on.

Sales end date and time — the tier is deactivated automatically after this time, even if tickets are still available.

Optional fields

On top of the required fields, every tier accepts: limit per CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID) in this tier, allow transfer (on or off), transfer limit (how many times the ticket can change hands), and activation mode (By date or After the previous tier sells out). These fields sit in the same tier form, right below the required ones.

Common tier strategies

StrategyHow to set it up
Early-bird first tierLower price, small quantity, short window (e.g. 48h)
Automatic sell-out chainSet the next tier to open when the previous one ends
Tiers by sectionFloor R$ 50, Box R$ 150, VIP R$ 300, each with its own quantity
Free tier + paid tierEvent with comps and a paid ticket on the same page

Adding a tier after publishing

You can add new tiers at any time — even after the event is published. Go to Events → open the event → scroll to the Lots section → + Add lot. The new tier shows up for buyers immediately.
